- total disappointment This product worked for 2 days, then started acting wonky, and now only goes on when you are cranking the handle. I got this because of its non-battery and waterproof features. But it does not appear to be impervious to water -- condensation built up inside the cover immediately after it rained, and has not operated since then.
- Try to find a Wind-N-Go instead I purchased 2 of the Life+Gear Waterlights based on the reviews I had seen on Amazon and elsewhere. One was for personal use and one was intended to be a Christmas gift. I am sending them back tomorrow. The handle is very poorly designed in that it does not stay tucked in place when not in use and is likely to be broken as a result. Also, the crank did not turn very easily or smoothly. I was still planning to keep one in spite of the fact that I did not particularly like it. But it also would not hold a charge. Straight out of the package, it would only light while it was being cranked. I could crank for 60 - 75 seconds, and it would not turn on unless I continued cranking after turning it on. I realize my Waterlight was defective, but if you can still find one in stock, purchase the Wind-N-Go 07100 instead. I purchased two of them for work and wanted to buy more, but they were out of stock at the time and I needed a flashlight for an upcoming camping trip, so I bought the Waterlight. For those who receive working Waterlights, they may be acceptable, but try the Wind-N-Go, and I doubt you'd buy another of these. The 07100 is better designed -- more comfortable in the hand, the handle stays closed, it cranks easily and smoothly... And I've had all good experiences with it so far. Nothing but bad with the Waterlight... Just my $.02...
- Great for On the Go I purchased two of this product. It is very easy to use, water resistant, pretty dependable....I've used it in so many situations, camping, power outage etc. I only wish the crank handle would stay in place when you put it into position to keep the handle tucked. Other than that it's great.
- Fishermens Dream This product is really smart. I was very impressed by how bright it was. This is super bright and definitely works. The product proved itself also by being water proof (I dropped it accidently for a moment in the river) The charge on the light is nice also. I cranked this for 1 minute and got an hour of light before noticing any light loss. This is a winner and my buddies all want one.
